Every year, the Henry van de Velde Awards honour products, projects, services and systems by designers and companies from Flanders that, thanks to thoughtful design, have a positive and remarkable impact on our economy, environment and society. A professional jury has now selected the winners of these most prestigious design awards in Belgium within eight different categories.

On November 16 and 17, the Maison de la Poste at Tour & Taxis Brussels is the place to be for design professionals and enthusiasts. FOR THE NOW will showcase a curated selection of emerging and more established Belgium-based designers across a variety of disciplines. Alongside the design exhibition, the event will feature inspiring talks and performances, making it a must-attend for anyone passionate about design.

On Tuesday the 23rd of January 2024, during the 30th edition of the Henry van de Velde Awards, Flanders DC presented the Gold Awards for the categories Lifetime Achievement, Young Talent, Company, Ecodesign by OVAM Award, Business Innovation, Consumer, Crafts, Design Research, Digital Product, Environment, Graphics, Habitat, Spaces and Public. Please pay attention: nobody of the winners, except the four main categories (Lifetime Achievement, Young Talent, Company & Ecodesign by OVAM Award), is aware of their prize.

Design platform FOR THE NOW celebrates 5th edition with 2 new binôme projects, a new exhibition hall and collaboration with Designer of the year.

On September 23 and 24 the Gare Maritime at Tour & Taxis will once again be dedicated to design. In addition to the Brussels Design Market, the hall will also host FOR THE NOW (previously known as Contemporary Design Market) with a carefully curated selection of established and emerging Belgium based designers, working across various design disciplines and with a variety of mediums.
